Phase I of the Abraham Lincoln High School project a multi-prime contract, 267,000 s.f. new construction, including Administrative Offices, 2-story classroom section, state of the art Cafeteria, Library, Auditorium, Main & Auxiliary Gymnasiums, Horticultural Greenhouse and a Day Care Center. The new school accommodates 1,100 students, grades 9 through 12. Thomas P. Carney, Inc. was the General Contractor, leading overall coordination of multiple Prime and Sub-Contractors. TPC also self-performed the 150,000 cubic yard earth excavation, maintaining soil and erosion controls in compliance with the Pennsylvania DEP and storm water management per the NPDES permit.
The new school was completed for the start of the 2009 / 2010 school year.
Asbestos Abatement of the existing building was a performed under a separate contract, followed by the Phase II total demolition of the existing 260,000 s.f. school building, and site restoration.
