Robert J. McCloskey

Chief Estimator / Project Manager

As Chief Estimator, Robert J. McCloskey is responsible for project estimating and cost control.  He participates in preliminary project review for determination of projects best suited to the expertise of Thomas P. Carney, Inc.’s management team, and coordinates responsibilities of our estimating team.  

As Project Manager, Bob is responsible for coordination of the General Construction work with HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing contractors; CPM scheduling updates, sub-contract negotiations, job meeting attendance, Commissioning and LEED Programs.

With 45 years of experience in the construction industry, Bob has managed dozens of projects to successful and timely completion.  He has outstanding technical expertise and is extremely proficient in reviewing project drawings, reducing errors and thus providing a more efficient project plan.  Bob’s vast experience allows him to craft alternative options and solutions in the face of problems, errors and omissions.  He has tremendous experience in the preparation of quality control programs and knows how to ensure their implementation.  Bob is an invaluable asset to Thomas P. Carney, Inc. in enhancing quality control and exercising creative solutions. 


Daniel Driscoll

Project Manager / Estimator

 Daniel Driscoll has been a member of Thomas P. Carney, Inc.’s management team for the past 23-years, since graduating with a degree in Construction Technology from Williamson Trade School.  Dan has served as Project Manager on several major projects, with his latest project being the $55M Renovation to the Historic Trenton Train Station, in Trenton, New Jersey.  His project management responsibilities include coordination between all trades, job meeting attendance, CPM scheduling and updates, sub-contract negotiations, Commissioning and LEED Programs.

Dan exhibits exemplary leadership, competency and command over his responsibilities for the successful completion of projects.  Dan also estimates the concrete and masonry portions of projects TPC bids. 


Henry Courbis, Jr. (Bud)

MEP Coordinator / Estimator

 Henry (Bud) Courbis, Jr. is a veteran in the construction industry.  During his 22-years with Thomas P. Carney, Inc., Bud has primarily concentrated on MEP engineering, excavation and site utilities estimating, site condition evaluations and project management.  Bud participants in Commissioning, coordination of final as-built drawings and LEED Programs.  Bud estimates, reviews and coordinates MEP sub-contractor quotes on single prime project bids, and upon notice of award, settles MEP sub-contracts.

Prior to its sale in 1990, Bud was President and CEO of McElwee-Courbis Construction Company which operated in seven states.  He has a tremendous depth of experience in the construction of Wastewater Treatment Plants.   


Kim C. Carney

Laurelwoods Project Manager

 Kim C. Carney has been a member of Thomas P. Carney, Inc.’s management team for 25 years and is currently the project manager in charge of construction and sales of our residential development, Laurelwoods Homes, located at Big Boulder Ski Resort.  Kim works with an interior designer to finalize floor plans of the single, duplex and quad units.  Kim also works directly with home buyers on furniture packages and upgrade options. 

Kim is also responsible for renovations and maintenance of investment real estate properties.  Prior to her current position, she assisted TPC’s Estimating and Project Management Teams with public sector work.
